CHICOPEE – Thomas G. Laughlin, 53, of the Fairview section of Chicopee, was Called Safely Home on Saturday, November 9, 2024. He passed into Eternal Life at home surrounded by the care and comfort of his loving family. He was born in Syracuse, New York on May 23, 1971, a beloved son of Dona P. “Pat” (Cote) Laughlin of Chicopee with whom he lived and the late Martell R. “Marty” Laughlin who was Called Home on June 15, 2017. He graduated from Holyoke Catholic High School, received an Associate’s Degree in Music from Holyoke Community College and lived in Chicopee since 1975. He was employed for many years at Seahorse Laboratories in Chicopee. He was a communicant of Saint Anne Church in Chicopee. Tom was the co-founder and lead explorer for the Chicopee Paranormal, who was always willing to explore the unknown and notably appeared on an episode of “Ghost Hunters.” He was an accomplished musician, who loved playing the drums and guitar. He was a devoted caregiver to his mom, always expressing his selfless love and dedication which inspired all who knew and loved him. Tommy will be known for his loving soul which will leave a lasting memory to all. Besides his beloved mother, he also leaves his four loving and devoted siblings, William L. Laughlin and his wife, Lori, and Andrew J. Laughlin, all of Chicopee, Stephen A. Laughlin and his wife, Bernadette, of South Hadley, and Kathleen M. “Kathy” Laughlin and her partner, Marc Benoit, of Chicopee; his dear sister-in-law, Terri Breton-Laughlin of Texas; and his many dear uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces, cousins, extended family members and numerous friends. In addition to his father, he was predeceased by his beloved brother, Daniel J. Laughlin who was Called Home on October 7, 2018 and his dear sister-in-law, Karen A. (Hayduk) Laughlin who was Called Home on October 2, 2012. His family will receive friends on Sunday, November 17, 2024 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the St. Pierre-Phaneuf Fairview Chapels, (413-533-3307), 506 Britton Street, Chicopee, MA 01020.
