Worcester – Judith (Bisson) Drake Floyd, 75, of Worcester, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2024 in her home.
She was born in Worcester, daughter of the late Joseph and Theresa (Lemoine) Bisson and is also predeceased by her son, Michael J. Drake; a granddaughter, Brittany Drake and a grandson, Joseph Drake.
Judy is survived by her two sons, Dennis Drake Jr. and his wife, Monique of Spencer and William D. Drake and his fiancé, Faith Maruca of Worcester; two brothers, Joseph Bisson and his wife, Nancy of New Hampshire and Raymond Bisson and his wife, Debra of Leicester; two sisters, Cheryl Dube and her husband, Luke of Leicester and Wendy Labrecque of Webster; 10 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews and her longtime best friend, Mona Leir.
She graduated from South High School and spent the majority of her work career as a caretaker for people with special needs. Over the years she worked at the Nazareth Home for Boys, Seven Hills Foundation, Crown Bakery and retired from Community Enterprises in 2017.
Judy enjoyed to crochet, knit and spend time at the beach, but she was truly the happiest when she was able to spend time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Friday, November 15 at 10:30 AM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, November 14, from 5 to 7 PM in the funeral home. Memorial contributions in memory of Judy may be made to the American Lung Association 1661 Worcester Road Suite #301 Framingham, MA 01701.
