Jane Mitchell Bouyoukas, age 93, passed away peacefully on November, 6th 2024 at home with her family by her side. She was born on January, 27th 1931 in Boston, MA and raised in Berlin, NH by her loving parents, Kenneth and Idella Mitchell. She married Peter Bouyoukas on June, 12th 1954 in Hawaii whom she had three children with, Kristina, Nicholas, and Elaine. The family resided in the town of Needham, MA, where Jane worked in the bread department at the local Stop & Shop. Jane, or more lovingly known as Mrs. B, was a woman of simple tastes. She fiercely loved her family, just as much as the Red Sox, if they were on a winning streak. She enjoyed James Patterson books, playing cards, and baking, in which chocolate chip cookies and corn muffins were her specialties. She also enjoyed her politics, but always welcomed you with open arms even if you did not share her beliefs. Jane and Peter spent the winters at their condo in Naples, FL and traveled to Virginia to visit their grandchildren on their way back and forth. After Peter's passing, Jane settled in Virginia permanently where she lived out her days peacefully in her "cute" white house with bright red shutters, watching the deer pass by.
Jane is preceded in death by her loving husband, Peter Bouyoukas, and son, Nicholas Bouyoukas, and survived by her daughters, Kristina Bouyoukas, Elaine Hall (Mike), her grandchildren, Dennis Goulet (Liz), Rochelle Owens (Jim), Alexandra O’Malley (Nick), Victoria Middleton (Zach), and her great grandchildren, Allyana Goulet, Gabrielle Goulet, Orion Goulet, Mackenzie Owens, Maverick Middleton, and Noel O’Malley. The family would like to thank Debbie Malcolm for her love, care, and friendship of Jane this past year.
Family and friends are invited to St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 57 Brown St. Weston, MA 02493, on Monday, November 18th, 2024. Visitation is at 10:00am, followed by the funeral at 11:00am, and interment at Forest Hills Cemetery Boston, MA 02130.
