Timothy “Tim” Richard Hathorn, 61, of Tifton passed away Sunday, November 10, 2024, at Tift Regional Medical Center. A memorial service will be held for Mr. Hathorn at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, November 14, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals with the Rev. John S. Gibbs, Jr. officiating. Mr. Hathorn will be laid to rest at Oak Ridge Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Thursday, November 14, 2024, in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals from 3:00 p.m. until the hour of the service.
Born October 29, 1963, in Moultrie, Mr. Hathorn was the son of Patsy Sloan Hathorn of Tifton and the late David Hathorn. He worked at Home Depot in Valdosta; and he was a member of Second Baptist Church in Tifton. He enjoyed riding his Harley Davidson; and he loved fishing. He also enjoyed looking for treasures with his metal detector; and he was an avid Alabama Crimson Tide Football fan. He was a devout family man and adored his two grandchildren.
In addition to his mother, Mr. Hathorn is survived by his wife, Laurie Hoyt Hathorn of Tifton; one son and daughter-in-law, Collin and Lauren Hathorn of Nashville; and two grandchildren, Weston Charleston Hathorn and Everlee Faith Hathorn.
