Obituary

Louise T. Catino, a lifelong resident of Charlestown, at 79 years old, entered into eternal life after a long illness on Saturday, November 9, 2024, surrounded by her loving family.

Beloved wife of the late Benjamin Catino. Devoted mother of Carl D. Jaena and his wife Allyson of Wakefield, Hope Dyer and her husband, Ray of North Reading, Anne Jaena Porter and Tom Evangelista of Groveland, Phillip John "PJ" Jaena and his wife, Christy of Londonderry, New Hampshire. Sister of the late Ralph Lyman, Dorothy LaBeau, Joan Atencio & Carol "Chickie" Powers. Loving Nana of Louis Cafarelli, Taylor Dyer, Devyn Dyer, Calvin Porter, Jason Porter, Colin, Brendan and Cameron Jaena. Great grandmother of Tessa, Louis, Gianna, and Hazel Rae. Dear and loving aunt of many nieces and nephews, especially of Carol "Sis" Powers-Morrissey, who was like her daughter & her husband, Stephen of Charlestown. A lifelong friend of many, especially Patsy Noonan and the late Jean Reilly.

Member of Charlestown High School Class of 1963, a late employee of Schraffts, Mama Maria's Restaurant, and Filene's Basement, Boston.

A Celebratory Mass will be held in St. Mary's Church, 55 Warren St. Charlestown on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 10AM. Relatives & friends are cordially invited to the Mount Vernon Restaurant in Somerville, MA, following the Mass for a coalition to laugh and share stories of the many good times shared with Louise.
