JACK C. FRAMPTON OBITUARY

Jack C. Frampton, 81, of Commodore, PA died on Saturday, November 9, 2024 at his home.

Jack was born on June 13, 1943 in Diamondville, PA to Sanford R. “Dutch” and Roberta K. (Weaver) Frampton.

He married Diane (Todhunter) on November 12, 1965 and they shared fifty-eight years of marriage. Together they raised six children: Todd Michael; Jill Ann; Jack Robert; Ladd Eric; Tara Brooke and Lance Michael.

Jack served in the US Army during the Vietnam War Era for two years. He was a lifetime member of the Clymer American Legion Post #222.

During his career, he had worked for McCreary Tire and Rubber; Barnes and Tucker Coal Co. and his last employment with Victory Energy as a gas well tender was his favorite job.

He greatly enjoyed his morning coffees and lunches with friends at Pardee’s Route 240 Restaurant and Gibson’s.

He loved spending time sitting on his porch. Some of his favorite pastimes were playing pool, camping, fishing, hunting, farming and gardening, especially harvesting tomatoes and potatoes.

For over twenty-five years, Jack was a member of the Benjamin Franklin Masonic Lodge #313 in Indiana.

He is survived by his children: Todd (Deanna) Frampton; Jill (Dave) Kunkle; former daughter-in-law, Crystal Gustkey; Tara (Mike) Oberdorf and Lance Frampton; his grandchildren; Austin and Arynn Frampton; Josh (Monica) Kunkle; Zack (Katrina) Kunkle; Luke Kunkle; Brandon Skomo; Baylee Frampton and fiancé Michael and Abby (Jason), Sarah, Hannah and Noah Oberdorf and three great grandchildren: Myles, Max and Jamie Kunkle.

Jack is also s survived by his sister, Mary Lea (Jack) Lewis; brother, Mike (Pat) Frampton; sister, Carol Boyer; his two sisters-in-law, Jean Bash and Mary Todhunter and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Diane on February 2, 2024; his sons Jack and Ladd Frampton; brother, Harry Frampton and sister, Kathleen Kohan.

Jack will be greatly missed by many. His warm, playful humor and his friendly smile will be fondly remembered.

Private arrangements are with the assistance of the Rairigh Funeral Home, Ltd. in Hillsdale, PA. Military honors will be observed by the Clymer American Legion. Interment will be at Thompson Cemetery in Hillsdale, PA.
