Obituary

BROWNFIELD- Janice L. Tripp, 84 passed away peacefully after a long illness, while a resident at Pinnacle Health & Rehab at Sanford Maine.

Janice grew up on their family farm in Brownfield, attended local schools and graduated from Fryeburg Academy. While a teenager, Janice worked locally doing various odd jobs. Janice worked for Henry McIntyre’s Canister Company in Fryeburg and then many years at The Moir Company in Denmark Maine, eventually retiring and residing at her Center Conway Road home in Brownfield.

Janice played high school sports, was an avid sports fan, animal lover and was very handy around the house with projects, and even tinkering on her own automobiles. She enjoyed time spent with her nieces and nephews, and would take them on drives around town, visiting friends and stopping at various country stores to buy them treats. She loved country music and can be remembered for her many 8 track tapes she would play in the car on those car rides around town.

Janice is predeceased by her father, Eugene Tripp who passed in an auto accident when Janice was very young, her mother Helen who raised their three children, a brother Harvey Tripp, and a nephew Harvey Tripp Jr.

Janice leaves behind her sister Joyce Tripp Sanborn of West Baldwin. Joyce was Janice’s care-giver for many years, until Janice became too ill to remain in her home. Joyce always ensured that her sister was well cared for, and attended to. Janice had several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

There will be no service at Janice’s request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her honor to a local animal shelter. Burial will be private at the Brownfield Cemetery at a later date.
