Daniel Thomas Kraynak, 61, of Mahaffey, PA died at the Punxsutawney Area Hospital in Punxsutawney, PA on Thursday, October 31, 2024.
The son of Thomas and Susan (Rushnok) Kraynak, he was born on October 25, 1963 in Indiana, PA.
In 1981 Dan and his father, Tom, formed T & D Kraynak Mining. After his father’s passing in 2006, Dan became president of the company until his retirement in 2010.
Dan’s orthodox faith was of great importance to him. He loved spending time in the outdoors and particularly enjoyed watching the deer and wildlife.
He was preceded in death by his father on December 22, 2006, his mother on January 29, 2008 and his brother, David B. Kraynak on September 3, 1980.
The V. Rev. Archpriest Mark Meholick will have a small private graveside service for close family and friends at SS Peter & Paul Orthodox Cemetery in Urey, PA.
