WEBSTER - Frank ‘Frankie” Olszta, 72, died Sunday, October 27, 2024 at home after being stricken ill.
He leaves a son, Nathan F. Olszta of Dudley; a grandson, Luke Olszta; 2 sisters, Lucy Ann Turner of Point Judith, RI, and Nancy Olszta of Oxford; 2 brothers, Edward Olszta of Oxford and Mitchell Olszta of Vernon, CT; nephews and nieces. He also leaves his beloved dogs Ellie and Spot.
He was born on May 29, 1952 in Southbridge, the son of Edward S. and Congetta (Potalivo) Olszta and graduated from Bay Path Regional Vocational Technical High School in Charlton in 1973. He grew up on Schofield Avenue in Dudley before moving here.
Mr. Olszta was a toll booth operator on the Mass. Turnpike for many years before retiring.
He belonged to the Polish National Alliance of Dudley and to the Italian Associates Club in Southbridge.
He enjoyed drag racing his motorcycle all over New England. He loved music and was a huge motorhead.
Memorial calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Saturday, November 16, in the Sitkowski, Malboeuf & Hickey Funeral Home, 340 School Street.
