Swampscott
Muriel L. (Gauthier) Vousboukis, 82 of Swampscott, passed away Thursday, October 31, 2024 at the Kaplan House following a brief illness. She was the devoted wife of Daniel E. Vousboukis who passed in 2021 after 57 years of marriage. Born and raised in Salem, she was the daughter of the late Rene and Anita (St. Pierre) Gauthier.
Muriel was a dental assistant for Dr. Goldberg in Salem for many years. She later worked as a childcare provider and personal care assistant. She was an active member of St. John’s Church of Swampscott and their Lady’s Sodality; she loved to swim, bowl, and play cards. She was devoted to her family, raising her children, and caring for others.
She is survived by three childrenChristopher P. Vousboukis and wife Rebecca McNeill, Danielle K. Vousboukis and partner Kerry Rumore, Steve A. Vousboukis, and her grandson Michael Jarvinen Vousboukis. She was predeceased by her son Michael P. Vousboukis, her two brothers Nelson Gauthier and Jean Gauthier. Muriel leaves many relatives and friends that she loved deeply and that brought her much joy and happiness.
Relatives and friends are invited to calling hours from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the Levesque Funeral Home, 163 Lafayette St., [Route 114 / 1-A] Salem to be followed by her funeral service in the funeral home at 1:00 PM.
