FRANKLIN ---- Jean Rachel Sleeper-Paquette, 83, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at Epsom Healthcare Center, Epsom, NH following a short illness.
Jean was born on February 7, 1941, in Franklin, NH, the daughter of the late James Edward Laughy and Verona (Jackson) Laughy. One of nine Laughy children, she spent her early life in Sanbornton on the family farm.
Jean was a lifelong caregiver. She was a trained hairdresser, an EMT and LNA. She enjoyed time in her garden and feeding the birds and squirrels. She loved listening to her grandkids play music. Most of all she loved her time as a grandmother and being with her family.
Jean is survived by her son Raymond B. Sleeper and his wife Laura, of Tilton, NH and three grandchildren, Ian, Abigael and Aidan Sleeper as well as her sister Eileen Champoux of Ehrenberg Az. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by brothers, Harry, James, Harold, and Alan and her sisters Helen, Dorothy, and Shirley as well as her first husband Jon Sleeper and her second husband Richard Paquette.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, November 9, 2024, from 2:00pm-4:00pm in the Carriage House at the Wilkinson-Beane-Simoneau-Paquette Funeral Home,164 Pleasant Street, Laconia, NH.
