Obituary

William A. Lettieri, age 66, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth after a courageous battle with cancer. He was the cherished husband of Julie A. (Boose) Lettieri for almost forty years, the proud father of William (Billy) Lettieri and John Lettieri, the dedicated father in law to Colleen Lettieri and the beloved Papa of Hailey and Lainey Lettieri.

Born in Cambridge and raised in Somerville, he was the son of the late William H. and Dorothy (Lettieri) Hickey.

Bill proudly served in the United States Naval Reserves for 6 years, before being Honorably Discharged in 1982. Bill also worked in the sales department of TE Corcoran Plumbing Supply for many years before retiring.

Bill had a passion for playing golf with his friends and family, especially his brother Gary Lettieri. Bill enjoyed bowling and was in several bowling leagues for many years. He was an avid sports enthusiast and could tell you the roster of a team without thinking twice. He was a true New England Sports lover, but the Boston Bruins were his favorite and you could always find him glued to the tv whenever a game was on.

Bill especially loved spending time with his granddaughters. His “best girl” Hailey “bugs” was the light of his life and he adored his little “peanut” Lainey from the moment she was born. Family was the most important thing to Bill and if he loved you, he would tell you. In return, he was adored by all who knew him. To know Bill, was to love him. He was full of life and compassion and will be dearly missed and remembered forever by all who were blessed and fortunate enough to share in his journey.

In addition to the immediate family, Bill leaves behind his sisters, Susan Drew, Kelly Pope, Karen Quimby and Diane O’Hanlan; his brother Gary Lettieri; his brother in laws Bob Drew, Brian Pope and the late Paul Quimby; his beloved god-daughter Jennifer Attubato; many step brothers and step sisters as well as many nieces and nephews who he loved very much.

Visiting hours will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 from 5- 7 with a service at 6:45pm in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte. 123) Brockton.

In lieu of flowers, donations in William’s name can be made to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Jimmy Fund in Bill's name; (danafarber.jimmyfund.org).
