Obituary

Pauline “Piloon” (Danielian) Agazarian, 102, of Worcester fell asleep in our Lord on October 29, 2024. She was the daughter of Setrak and Azniv (Mazmanian) Danielian.
She was predeceased by her husband Karekin Agazarian of 31 years and her brother John Danielian. She leaves three children: Linda Bullock of Worcester and her husband Ben, their three children, Jeremy, Daniel and his wife Arpi, Adam and his wife Jenna; David Agazarian of Worcester; and Eddie Agazarian of Webster and his wife Jessica.
Pauline was born on October 15, 1922, and grew up living in the parish house of the Armenian Church of Our Saviour. She was very active with her church and was an Armenian Church choir member for 90 years, a former ACYOA member, a member of the Women's Guild, Armenian General Benevolent Union, Armenian Chorale, Sons and Daughters, Brotherhood Club, AVAKS, and the Cultural Committee.
She was a champion dancer (through which she met her husband, Karekin), loved playing cards, backgammon, and was a Boston Sports fan. She was thrilled when the Celtics won the championship again in 2024 and enjoyed watching the banner being raised in October! She was a member of the Worcester Senior Center where she participated in line dancing, Seniors Choral Group, RSVP, and several health groups. Pauline was also a member of the Greater Worcester Women’s Welfare Association.
Known affectionately as “Pi”, she attended Elizabeth Street School, Commerce High School, and Felt and Tarrant Comptometer School. She was employed by American Steel and Wire for 17 years and later worked at Norton Company until her retirement in 1988. After this, she took the opportunity to travel across the world and experience different cultures. While at home, she tended to her garden, especially the grapevine that was passed to her from her mother. Most importantly, she also made sure that her grandchildren grew up with faith in our Lord Jesus Christ, were nourished by Armenian food, were immersed in the Armenian culture, and learned the Armenian language. Her influence in the community earned her the endearing titles of “Grandma Pi” and “Queen Pauline”.
She is now in the loving arms of our Lord Jesus Christ for all eternity.
The funeral will be held at the Armenian Church of Our Saviour on Monday November 4th at 11:00am, at 87 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA.
Calling hours will be at Nordgren Memorial Chapel on Sunday, November 3rd from 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm, at 300 Lincoln Street, Worcester, MA.
