HOLYOKE – Steven D. Bailey, 65, of the Beaven Kelly Home in Holyoke, was Called Safely Home on Sunday, October 27, 2024. He passed into Eternal Life at Holyoke Medical Center surrounded by all the memories he loved and cherished after a long battle with heart disease. He was born in Holyoke on Sunday, October 18, 1959, a beloved son of the late Robert D. and Marie Rose (Hubbard) Bailey. He was raised in Chicopee, graduated in 1978 from Chicopee Comprehensive High School where he was the Captain of the Football Team and lived in Chicopee for many years. He leaves his loving son, Travis S. Bailey and Travis's mother, Karen O’Connor; his two cherished grandchildren whom he adored, Madison R. Bailey and Brandon M. Bailey; and his cherished brother, Todd A. Bailey and his wife, Sandra, and their children, Jordan Bailey and Lauren Bailey. He also leaves his sister, Beth Ayers. His family would like to thank his caregivers at the Beaven Kelly Home in Holyoke for their kindness and the exceptional care that they gave to Steven over the past year.
