Obituary

Daniel M. Boulanger, 73, a longtime Tyngsboro resident, passed away unexpectedly at Lowell General Hospital on Friday, October 25 after returning from a lovely trip to Ireland with friends.

He was born on July 20, 1951 in Lowell, a son of the late Arthur R. Boulanger and the late Claire (McGrath) Boulanger, he was educated in Lowell, attending Sacred Heart Parochial School and graduated from Lowell High School.

He owned Eastern Antiques & Collectibles which was formerly known as Eastern Salvage & Removal which he owned and operated for many years. He also was a licensed auctioneer. He lived most of his adult life in Tyngsboro, where he raised his family.

Dan loved to help people, especially when they were in a tough spot in their lives. He volunteered at Transitional Living Center in Lowell for many years and also with Chelmsford Grow A Row, among many other organizations.

He loved music, gardening, walking, fishing, spending time outdoors and traveling. He was dedicated to his faith and the Church of God, which he was a part of for over 50 years. He was a true family man, he loved spending time with his family, especially his nine grandchildren.

He is survived by his daughters and his son, Christine Cardillo and her husband, David, of Chelmsford, Daniel Boulanger, Jr. of Longmont, CO, Kate Boulanger of Chelmsford and Rebecca Waukau and her husband, Darren, of Tyngsboro, his grandchildren, Jake and Brooke Cardillo, Lyra Boulanger, Lorelei and Caroline Picotte, Hazel Waukau, Audrey Primeau, Adele Primeau and Penelope Waukau, his sisters, Ruth Ann O’Brien and her husband, John of Wakefield, Elizabeth Bourassa and her husband, Anthony of Windham, NH, Jessica Desimone and her husband, Mark of, NC, his sister in law, Annette Boulanger of FL, his former wife, Jayne Boulanger of Nashua and many friends including his good friend Eric Hunt of Salem, NH, George Serpa and John Bowles, with whom he recently traveled in Ireland. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his brothers, the late Robert Boulanger and his wife, the late Suzanne Boulanger, the late David Boulanger and the late Arthur Boulanger.

All are welcome to attend his visitation and funeral services. His visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 from 3 p.m. until 7 p.m. at the McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell, MA. His funeral service will immediately follow at 7 p.m. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers please consider a donation in his memory to Save the children at www.savethechildren.org
