Kyle Ross, 61, of Irwin County, Georgia, died Saturday, October 26, 2024, at his residence.
Funeral services will be held 11 AM, Wednesday, October 30, 2024, at The Paulk Funeral Home in Ocilla, Georgia, with the Rev. Rex Johnson officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Cemetery, Fitzgerald. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the services at the funeral home in Ocilla on Wednesday.
Mr. Ross was born May 7, 1963, in Ocilla, Georgia, to the late Billy & Betty Smith Ross. He was a 1984 graduate of Irwin County High School. Mr. Ross began his working career at the age of 16 at Shaw Industries in Tifton and worked there for 27 years. He also worked for Beaulieu of America, Parrish Farms with Dwain Parrish, and Refuse Materials, Inc. with D.A. Pope. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed frying fish and grilling. He loved to watch NASCAR and college football and was a devoted husband, father, uncle, and Pa to his grandkids whom he adored.
He is survived by his wife of 39 years, Angel Ross of Irwin County; children: Candice & Bryan Britt of Fitzgerald and Morgan & Tiffany Ross of Blackshear; grandchildren: Leslie “LouLou” Britt, Luke Britt, Layken Britt, Mason Ross, and Madison Ross; sisters: Teresa & George Lanier of Rochelle, Carla & Mark Helms of Stanley, North Dakota, and Melanie Drawdy & Wayne Selph of Tifton; lots of nieces and nephews; as well as a special friend, Duncan Fields. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ralph Ross.
