Obituary

Angel M. ‘Peto’ Mangual, 36 of Lowell, passed away as a result of a car accident while passing through NY on Saturday, October 19, 2024. He was the husband of the late Ashley Jean (Pinkham) Mangual who passed away a few months ago after being together for 5 years.

He was born in Lowell on June 5, 1988 and was a son of Angel M. Mejias of Lowell and Carla M. Mangual of Lowell. He was raised in Lowell, where he attended the area schools.

Peto, as he was affectional known, was a joyful and outgoing person, known for his incredible generosity; he would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. His greatest passion was music, which filled his life with happiness. Above all, he cherished the time spent with family and friends, making memories and sharing in life's moments.

He had a diverse career, working in various aspects of construction and landscaping. Additionally, he tried his hand at fixing cars as a mechanic, showcasing his versatility and hands-on skills across different trades.

In addition to his parents, Angel Mejias of Lowell, and Carla Mangual of Lowell, he is survived by his siblings, Lissette Mangual of Lowell, Lilianna Mangual of Lowell, Yaritza Majias of Utah, and Jaime Andrade of Lowell, His grandparents Lillian Mangual and Jose Martinez Jr. of Lowell. He is also survived by his stepchildren; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends.

On Friday, November 1, 2024 all are welcome to attend his calling hours from 10 a.m. -12 noon at McDonough Funeral Home, 14 Highland Street, Lowell 978-458-6816. His funeral service will take place in the funeral home at 12 noon, followed by burial in the Westlawn II Cemetery.
