Gail D. (Proteau) St. Martin, age 69, of Cape Coral, Florida, formerly of Plainville and Mansfield, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, September 17, 2024. She was the longtime companion of Scott Chase.
Born in Attleboro, MA on September 16, 1955, she was a loving daughter of the late Edward J., Sr. and Helen J. (O’Keefe) Proteau.
Gail grew up and was educated in her hometown of Mansfield. She had made her residence in Cape Coral, Florida for the past twenty-five years and was employed as a Peer Specialist at Centerstone in Fort Myers, Florida
Gail’s favorite times were those spent amongst family and friends and being a grandmother and great grandmother made her happier than anything else in life. She was a devout Christian and for the past thirty years, enjoyed helping others on road to recovery.
She is survived by her loving and devoted daughter, Amy R. Keough and her husband Edward of Norton. She was the cherished and proud grandmother of Katelyn Keough and Emily Keough, both of Norton and the treasured great grandmother of Savannah Keough of Norton. She was the dear sister of Patti Wesley and her husband Peter of Mansfield, Mary Holske and her husband Peter of Sterling and Edward Proteau and his wife Michelle of Wrentham. She is also survived by her loving nieces, nephews and great nieces.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend visiting hours on Wednesday, November 6th from 5:00-8:00 P.M. at the Sherman & Jackson Funeral Home, 55 North Main Street, Mansfield. Burial will take privately at Saint Mary’s Cemetery in Mansfield.
