Angel A. Ordonez, age 55, of Mansfield, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Thursday, October 24, 2024. He was the beloved husband of Deborah (Callahan) Ordonez, to whom he was happily married for the past twenty-eight years and the devoted father and best friend of Joshua A. Ordonrz.
Born in the city of Yobain, Yucatan, Mexico, he was a loving son of Alberto and Avangelina (Aviles) Ordonez of Yobain, Mexico.
Angel had the pleasure of growing up and being educated in Yobain and Isla Mujeres, Mexico. In 1994, he moved to the United States, settling in Mansfield where he has made his home ever since. While a resident of Mexico, he served in the Mexican Navy and the Police Force. Angel’s lifelong passion for the ocean and sailing made his favorite job, that he was ever-so proud of, being a Boat Captain.
For the past ten years, Angel worked hard as a Project Manager for Coastal Carpet in Taunton and was previously employed by his brother-in-law Kevin Callahan at Compass Flooring in Foxborough. Angel was very proud of his family, especially his son Joshua and his countless friends, both in America and Mexico. He made an impact in the lives of all he met and hearts he touched and will be fondly remembered by all for his loyalty and support as an avid fan of the New York Jets.
In addition to his beloved wife Deborah and his devoted son Joshua A. Ordonez of Mansfield, he was the dear brother of Nancy Ordonez of Mexico, Dalia Cab and her husband Manases of Mexico, Glendy Ordonez of Mexico, Armin Ordonez and his wife Marianna of Mexico, Darvi Ordonez and his wife Yoli of Mexico and Nirva Chi and her husband Diego of Mexico. He was the much-loved son-in-law of James Callahan, Sr. of Foxborough and the late Patrica (Downey) Callahan. He was the dear brother-in-law of James Callahan, Jr. and his wife Ellen of Hope, Rhode Island, Donna Callahan of Charleston, South Carolina and Kevin Callahan and his wife Delilah of Foxborough. He is also survived by his loving nieces and nephews in the United States and Mexico, as well as 2 great nephews in Mexico.
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend a service in celebration of his life at a location and date to be announced.
