Cheryl A. (Sickoll) Mahoney, of Brockton, died on October 20th at Good Samaritan Hospital after a long illness.
Born in Stoughton in 1959 to the late Gordon and Loretta (Bell) Sickoll, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1977.
Cheryl was married to, and later separated from, the late Stephen Mahoney of Brockton and was a homemaker for much of her life. She loved animals (specifically dogs and cats), Aruba, playing solitaire, dancing, music and her family. She was also a huge fan of the Boston Red Sox and the New England Patriots.
Cheryl is survived by her son Chad Mahoney and wife Kristy of Brockton, daughter Angeline McGrath and husband Mike of Middleboro, her son Stephen Mahoney Jr. of Brockton, her brother Richard Sickoll of Stoughton, and her sister Loretta Johnson of Middleboro. She also leaves behind her grandchildren Chloe, Chase, Connor, Nathan, Jason and Ryan. Cheryl was predeceased by her sister Arlene, and brother Paul.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Cheryl’s calling hours on Friday, November 8th from 11:00 am-1:00 pm, with a prayer service starting at 1:00 pm at the Blanchard Funeral Chapel, 666 Plymouth St in Whitman, MA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.
