It is with great sadness that we share the passing of Susanne S. Peavey of Wakefield, MA. After a long battle with a rare inherited disorder, “Sue” died peacefully at her home on October 18, 2024. Formerly of Reading and Medford, MA, she was the loving wife of the late Charles Peavey, and the daughter of the late John J. and Helen T. Shumski. She leaves behind a sister, Carolyn S. Whittemore of Burlington, MA, nephew Jeffrey Whittemore of Alna, Maine, her cousins Arthur and Sue Jeselonis of Malden, and many other friends and family, including her sponsored child, of fifteen years, Elizabeth. Sue will be remembered at a private memorial service where she will be buried next to her beloved Charles.
