Marjorie E. (Carter) Simmons, 101, of Lincoln, passed away on Monday, October 21, 2024 at The Holiday Retirement Center. She was the wife of the late Edmund F. Simmons.
Mrs. Simmons was born in Little Compton, daughter of the late William S. and Rose (Dailey) Carter and had resided there for most of her life before relocating to Lincoln. Prior to retirement, she worked as a secretary for Bank of New England.
She is survived by many nieces and nephews and was sister of the late Dorothy Wingate and William S. "Sonny" Carter.
Funeral service to which relatives and friends are invited will be Saturday, October 26, 2024 at Little Compton United Congregational Church at 12:00 P.M.
Visitation will be Saturday at the church from 11 A.M.-12 P.M., prior to the service.
Interment will be private.
