Rita W. (Stodolski) Grimaldo, 93, of Worcester passed away on Sunday, October 20, 2024. Her husband of fifty-eight years, William F. Grimaldo, Sr. died in 2019. She is survived by her children, Donna M. Jordan and her husband George, with whom she lived and William Grimaldo, Jr. and his partner Ann Marie Leofanti; sister-in-law , Sophie Stodolski and several nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her son, Richard Grimaldo and brothers, Stanley A. and Thomas J. Stodolski. Rita was born in Gilbertville, MA the eldest child of Stanley A. and Antoinette (Nadolny) Stodolski
Rita retired from Sharfman Jewelers after fifty-nine years of employment. Starting in the bookkeeping area after high school she later worked as a salesperson. She enjoyed her work, her customers and her coworkers creating lasting friendships. A faithful woman, she was a lifetime member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church and watched midnight Mass on EWTN every night. Rita was a quick learner. She received golf clubs and lessons from Mr. Sharfman and in no time, she got a hole in one. Her generosity was one of her greatest attributes. She was generous with her time, her baked goods and precious gifts. Rita enjoyed her family. Spending time and keeping in touch with all of them was important to her (a job she did well!). She was kind, thoughtful and extremely proud of her family and heritage.
A funeral with a Mass will be on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 11:00 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
