In Loving Memory of Carolyn M. (Fernandes) Foster
It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Carolyn M.(Fernandes) Foster, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. Carolyn left this world peacefully on October 17, 2024.
Born on December 17, 1952, Carolyn was known for her kindness, laughter, and unwavering love for her family. Born in Medway, the daughter of the late Aurthur and Ruth (Lapham) Fernandes. She was the cherished wife of Wayne Foster, with whom she shared 29 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of countless beautiful memories.
She is survived by her four children, Trisia (Spinney) Erickson and her husband Joseph of Barre, Bruce Spinney and his wife Elizabeth of Grafton, Stephen Johnson and his wife Melissa of Bellingham, Bryan Foster and his significant other Kryssa Lachapelle of Gardner. Her children will always remember her as a constant source of support and love. Carolyn was also the proud grandmother of 10 grandchildren. She found immense joy in watching them grow, offering laughter, stories, and unconditional love.
She is also survived by her brother Arthur Fernandes, Jr., his wife Annmarie and her sister Anita Cato and her husband William. She is predeceased by her sister Francis MacLeod.
Carolyn was proud to have been a part of the telephone company community, where she worked for 30+ years as a central office technician. She was a member of Verizon Pioneers, an organization that reflected her commitment to service and giving back.
Beyond her career, Carolyn found immense joy in her hobbies and passions. She was a photographer, capturing the beauty of life through her lens. She also loved playing cards and Bingo with friends and family, where her competitive spirit and quick wit always made for a fun time. Carolyn's creativity shined through in her crafting, especially crocheting, where her handmade creations became cherished gifts for loved ones.
Her legacy of kindness, generosity, and devotion to family will continue to inspire all those who were fortunate enough to know her.
A celebration of her life will be held on Tuesday, October 29 from 4-7 p.m., where friends and family are invited to celebrate Carolyn’s life and honor her memory in the Ginley Crowley Funeral Home ginleyfuneralhomes.com 3 Barber Street, Medway.
Carolyn will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of those who loved her.
