WINDHAM- John Albert Vivian passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, October 18, 2024 from a long illness. He was born in West Haven, Connecticut on May 19, 1933, the son of Edmund and Florence Vivian. He was married to Dawn Mary Ratcliffe on July 14, 1956. Throughout his life he was a very devout Christian man and always put others before himself. He could sing beautifully and harmonized with any song. He taught his children to “kill others with kindness”. He was fond of boating and the ocean and spent many happy days with his family off the coast of Rhode Island and Massachusetts and Sebago Lake, Maine. He was completely devoted to his wife, children and grandchildren, and he defined the word generosity.
