Albertine A. (Erickson) Adams, 80, of Auburn, died Saturday, October 19th in the Rose Monahan Hospice Residence surrounded by her loving family. She leaves her husband of 59 years, James W. Adams; three children, Mark W. Adams and his wife, Denise of Grafton, K. Russell Adams and his wife, Lisa of Auburn, and Amy Mulhearn and her husband, Chris of North Kingstown, RI; five grandchildren, Michael, Leah, Alyssa, Christopher, and Samuel; two nieces, Debora MacKinnon of NJ, and Denise MacDonald of NH; many cousins and extended family. She was predeceased by two brothers, Alton Erickson and Forrest Erickson; and a niece, Sandra Erickson.
Albertine, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, was born in Worcester and graduated from North High School. She dedicated over 30 years of her career as a secretary for the Auburn School Department, where her warmth and professionalism touched many lives.
A proud member of the Vasa Order of America Nordic Lodge 611, Albertine served as financial secretary for many years. Her involvement in the lodge was a reflection of her commitment to community and heritage.
Albertine found great joy in crafting and quilting with her dear friends Linda, Betsy, and Shirley. She was also an avid reader and baker, known for her wonderful home-cooked meals, which were always a highlight at family gatherings, especially during holidays and birthdays.
A devoted animal lover, Albertine had a special place in her heart for cats. Above all, she cherished the time she spent with her children and grandchildren, who were the center of her world. Her love, warmth, and kindness will be remembered always by those fortunate enough to have known her.
Her visitation will be held on Thursday, October 24th from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, Worcester. Burial in All Faith’s Cemetery, 7 Island Road, Worcester will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
