Bill was a kind, caring and gentle soul who loved being in the company of family and friends. At family parties, he would always bring a unique side dish and could be found at the sink drying plates and bowls after a meal. His annual Christmas Party was a must attend mixer event for family and friends. His quiet nature hid his quirky sense of humor which was especially appreciated by his husband Zane and brother Tim. Generous to a fault, Bill contributed to many charities including Globe Santa, Dana Farber, The Walk for Hunger, the World Wildlife Fund and several other animal charities.
Those who had the pleasure of meeting Bill knew he was a genuine article. He was kind and compassionate and truly cared about the wellbeing of others. He had an infectious outlook on the goodness of people which was easily noticed when conversing with him.
Bill left us all too soon after an inspiring fight against brain cancer. He fought with a quiet dignity and always expressed his appreciation toward his caregivers, which they reciprocated during their caretaking of Bill. His death leaves a gaping hole in the hearts of all those who knew and loved him.
A memorial mass will be said for Bill on Friday, October 25th at 10:00 AM at Saint Francis of Assisi Church, 441 Fellsway West, Medford. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make a charitable donation to Globe Santa or Dana Farber in Bill’s memory.
