Ricardo Grullon of Boston, passed away on October 20, 2024, at the age of 84 years old. He was a loving and caring humble man who was cherished by many. Born in Santo Domingo in Dominican Republic, he served as a professor of accounting at the University “Instituto San Francisco” in the capital of DR and also served in the military. Seeking a better life for his family, he immigrated to the USA. Here, he continued his profession as a bookkeeper and furthered his education, graduating from Roxbury Community College and taking English courses to perfect his verbal skills. Ricardo had a passion for music, a gift playing the Trumpet for which he was a member of many bands, entertaining people with lively music such as Merengue and Salsa. He was a faithful church member at St Thomas of Aquinos in Jamaica Plain.
Ricardo is survived by his 8 children, Elizabeth Morales (Cala), Ana Barnica (Ani), Luis Grullon, Pedro Grullon, Christian Grullon, Dion Grullon (Calo), Richard Grullon (Richie), and Ricardo Patxot (Ricky) and 4 sisters; Fefa Grullon, Olvia Grullon, Mercedes Grullon, and Pracedes Beratonis. He also leaves behind many nieces/nephews, grandchildren/great-grandchildren and extended family members and friends.
Ricardo had been battling Alzheimer’s’ disease for over 3 years, but through it all, he remained strong. He had such a great sense of humor for which he always made us laugh and smile. Ricardo had a known saying he always said, “Everything is Under Control”. Thank you for the memories, we will all miss him dearly.
Visiting hours at the Brady & Fallon Funeral Home 10 Tower St. (Opp. Forest Hills MBTA Station) Jamaica Plain on Monday, October 28, from 10:30AM until 12:30PM. Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attended. Interment will then follow at St Michael Cemetery.

Ricardo Grullón de Boston, falleció el 20 de octubre de 2024, a la edad de 84 años. Era un hombre humilde, cariñoso y atento que fue apreciado por muchos. Nacido en Santo Domingo, República Dominicana, se desempeñó como profesor de contabilidad en la Universidad “Instituto San Francisco” en la capital de RD y también sirvió en el ejército. Buscando una vida mejor para su familia, emigró a los EE. UU. Aquí, continuó su profesión como contable y continuó su educación, graduándose de Roxbury Community College y tomando cursos de inglés para perfeccionar sus habilidades verbales. Ricardo tenía una pasión por la música, un don para tocar la trompeta, por lo que fue miembro de muchas bandas, entreteniendo a la gente con música animada como el merengue y la salsa. Fue un fiel miembro de la iglesia de Santo Tomás de Aquino en Jamaica Plain.
A Ricardo le sobreviven sus 8 hijos, Elizabeth Morales (Cala), Ana Barnica (Ani), Luis Grullón, Pedro Grullón, Christian Grullón, Dion Grullón (Calo), Richard Grullón (Richie) y Ricardo Patxot (Ricky) y 4 hermanas; Fefa Grullón, Olvia Grullón, Mercedes Grullón y Pracedes Beratonis. También le sobreviven muchos sobrinos, nietos, bisnietos, familiares y amigos.
Ricardo había estado luchando contra la enfermedad de Alzheimer durante más de 3 años, pero a pesar de todo se mantuvo fuerte. Tenía un gran sentido del humor que siempre nos hacía reír y sonreír. Ricardo tenía un dicho conocido: "Todo está bajo control". Gracias por los recuerdos, todos lo extrañaremos mucho.
El horario de visitas será en la funeraria Brady & Fallon Funeral Home, 10 Tower St. (frente a la estación Forest Hills MBTA) de Jamaica Plain, el Lunes 28 de Octubre, de 10:30AM - 12:30PM. Se invita respetuosamente a familiares y amigos asistir. Luego se realizará el entierro en el cementerio St Michael.
