Martin R. McDermott passed on October 14th, 2024 at age 63 after a long illness. He was the beloved son of the late Robert and Nancy. Loving brother of the late Michael Ridge Sr., Kim Greeley, Linda McDermott and the late Charles Bibbey. Godfather of Grace Hogan, whom he adored. He also leaves many nieces, nephews great nieces, great nephews. He has a nickname for each one.
Marty was known in Southie, he was a gentle giant with a great sense of humor… as well as a master of trivia. He loved our family and we loved him, he will be sorely missed. Marty was a former security guard in the China Trade Center in Downtown Boston, for many years. He also leaves his devoted best friends Jimmy Slattery and Denny Ronca.
