Obituary

Edward George Page, 86, of North Stonington passed away at home on October 16. 2024. He was born in Mystic to Edward Hamilton Page and Florence Tift Page Cooke who both predeceased him. His loving wife of 63 years, Betty Ann Page, also predeceased him. Ed leaves three children: Edward George Page Jr. of Central Village, CT, Debra Lynn Page of North Stonington, CT, and Cheryl MacMurray of Richmond, RI. He is also survived by two grandchildren: Joseph Page of Newark, OH and Nicole Page of Berlin, CT and three great-grandchildren. His surviving siblings are Sandie C. Scott of Mystic, CT and Russell T. Cooke of Williston, VT. His brother, Gentry J. Cooke predeceased him. He is also survived by numerous cousins.

Ed graduated from Robert E. Fitch High School in 1956. He spent the next two years serving his country with the U. S. Navy on the Sea Lion II submarine #315. When he was ashore, he was stationed at the Submarine Base in Groton and Naval Amphibious Little Creek in Virginia Beach, VA. He had a career as an electrician and retired in 2003 from Page Electric which he founded.

Ed was a huge fan of the N.Y. Yankees and NASCAR. His biggest hobby was buying and restoring muscle cars. He also loved to play cribbage, pinochle, and hand and foot.

The family would like the thank the nurses from Masonicare Hospice. They also would like to extend thanks to his many friends, especially his neighbor and “other brother” Glenn Gerrish and his wife Maureen.

Ed was a member of the Second Baptist Church for over 60 years.
