HOLDEN___Ludwik Rogowski 72, of Holden passed away after a hard battle with cancer, in the comfort of his home with family on Tuesday, October 15, 2024. His wife Wieslawa E. (Cwalinska) Rogowska died in 2020.
He is survived by his children, Agnieszka Serafin and her husband Krzysztof , with whom he lived, Andrzej Rogowski and his wife Anna, all of Holden and Pawel Rogowski and his wife Olga of Lomza, Poland; seven grandchildren, Sebastian, Kristian and Gabriela, David, Daniel, Alicja and Nina; siblings, Tadeusz Rogowski, Maria Chludzinska and Urszula Sleszynska, all of Poland and many nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by a brother Miroslaw Rogowski. Ludwik was born in Siestrzanki, Poland a son of Kazimierz and Irena (Konopka) Rogowski.
Mr. Rogowski retired from the Lomza District school system as a maintenance custodian. In 2008, he immigrated with his wife and youngest son, Pawel to the United States to join his other two children and their families. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Church. In his spare time he enjoyed having a garden and spending time with his family and grandchildren. He also enjoyed going back to Poland for vacations and to visit family. In his last days, he had shared a very emotional realization that because of the cancer he will not be able to see the youngest grandkids growing up and the oldest getting married!
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 from HENRY-DIRSA FUNEREAL HOME, 33 Ward St., Worcester, with a Mass at 10:30 am in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 34 Ward St. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Worcester. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, October 21, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM.
