Margaret Elizabeth Helmuth Binner, 78, of Enigma passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at her residence. A graveside funeral service will be held for Ms. Binner at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Oak Ridge Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest. The Rev. Steve Tucker will officiate. The family will receive friends on Friday, October 18, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Bowen-Donaldson Home for Funerals.
Born February 21, 1946, in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, Ms. Binner was the daughter of the late William Riley Helmuth and Mildred Kline Helmuth. She was also preceded in death by one granddaughter, Candace Bowen; four brothers, Charles Helmuth, Billy Helmuth, Glenn Helmuth and Donald Helmuth; and four sisters, Helen Hepfer, Catherine Metz, Julia Huhn and Jenny Rotz. Before retiring, she was a clerical worker for Visiting Nurses Association and Surf South. She helped establish the Lamplighter Pub in Tifton in 1975.
Ms. Binner is survived by one son, William “Wilkie” Binner, III of Enigma; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Layla and Michael Masterson, Billessa “Lisa” and Thomas McMillan and Brandi Binner, all of Enigma; two sisters, Polly Winters and Lillian Ingram, both of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania; four grandchildren and their spouses, Myka Bowen, Lauren and Jeremy Chambless, Lindsey and Colby Bearden and Raylee McMillan; two great-grandsons, Joseph Chambless and Jase Chambless; four step-grandchildren, Timothy McMillan, Daniel McMillan, Vickie Tyson and Hayden Masterson; and five step great-grandchildren, Katie Tyson, Ethan Tyson, Brooklyn McMillan, John Thomas McMillan and Allie McMillan.
