Deborah (Gibbons) Morganelli, 63, of Dedham, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 14, 2024, surrounded by the love of her family. Debbie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend whose kindness and warmth touched everyone she met.
Born to James and Mary Gibbons, Debbie was the youngest of their children and shared a close bond with her siblings: James, Thomas, Michael, Mark, Robert, Janet, and Jean. She went on to build a beautiful life with her beloved husband, Anthony Morganelli, and together they raised three children, Michelle, Andrea, and Michael. Debbie was also a cherished grandmother to her granddaughter, Quinn, who brought her endless joy.
For 30 years, Debbie dedicated her life to caring for others as a nurse at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. Her compassion, patience, and dedication made her a beloved figure in the hospital community and among all who had the privilege to know her.
Debbie had a unique ability to see the best in people. Her selflessness knew no bounds, always there to offer support, love, and strength to those who needed it most. She was the unwavering rock of her family and friends, the one who held everyone together through good times and bad.
Her infectious smile and boundless heart lit up every room, making the world a little brighter for everyone she encountered. Debbie’s legacy of love, kindness, and generosity will forever live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Visiting hours will be held at the George F. Doherty & Sons Wilson-Cannon Funeral Home, 456 High St., Dedham on Wednesday, Oct. 23 from 4-8pm. Her funeral will be held from the funeral home on Thursday, Oct. 24 at 9am followed by a Funeral Mass in St. John Chrysostom Church, West Roxbury at 10am. Relatives and friends kindly invited. Interment in Mt. Benedict Cemetery, West Roxbury.
