Obituary

Donald F. “Bucky” “The Master” DiRosario, 83, of Franklin, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 12, 2024, at the HopeHealth Hulitar Hospice Center in Providence, RI.

Born in Milford, he was a son of the late Albert, Sr. and Sarah (Phillips) DiRosario and was raised and educated in Franklin where he attended Franklin High School.

Prior to retirement, Bucky was employed for many years at Simon & Son’s Furniture Store delivering furniture then went on to work at Ranieri properties and Nursing Homes providing building and ground maintenance. He then ended his career working at the DG Raineri Hardware Store. After retirement, he worked part time at the Aubuchon’s Hardware Store in Franklin.

He was an avid Rockabilly and country music record collector. He enjoyed fishing, bingo, scratch tickets, trips to the casinos, and spending time with friends and family.

A lifelong resident of Franklin, Bucky had a very outgoing personality and had friends wherever he went.

He always had a smile and positive attitude with everyone right until the end.

He is survived by his daughter, Diane DiRosario of Pawtucket, RI; two grandchildren, Darlene DiRosario and Kristin Palmer of Pawtucket, RI; a great-grandchild, Alex Sheffield of Pawtucket, RI; his spouse Irma DiRosario of Pawtucket, RI; his siblings Albert DiRosario, Jr. and his wife Karen of Wrentham, Barbara DiRosario and her partner Rosie of Franklin, and Johnny DiRosario and his partner Elizabeth of Nevada; and several nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his companion Giovina DiGenni, and his brothers Michael and Robert DiRosario.

Calling hours will be held from 1 to 4 P.M. on Saturday, October 19, in the Charles F. Oteri & Son Franklin Funeral Home, 33 Cottage Street, Franklin. A remembrance service will take place at 3:45 P.M.

Burial will take place privately with family.

In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be sent to an animal rescue organization of ones choosing.
