WATERBORO- Richard Anderson, age 70, passed away on October 13, 2024.
He was born in Boston, Massachusetts on January 15, 1954, to the late Lorraine and
Robert Anderson. Richard enjoyed playing music, reading, carpentry, yard work,
helping others and delicious sweets. He is survived by his children, brothers, sisters
and many friends who loved him dearly.
The photo above shows Richard singing his heart out on his late mother’s guitar. He
was first a member of Burnt Toast and then The Back Roads Band where he co-wrote
and sang “Misty Maine”.

The ceremony will be held at Cedar Brook Burial Ground, 175 Boothby Road,
Limington, Maine 04049 on Sunday, October 27th at 1:00 p.m. A “Celebration of Life”
will be held at 803 Main Street, Waterboro, Maine following the ceremony. Please bring
