Johnney Dabney Jr. (68) of Brockton passed away October 4th at home under hospice care surrounded by his loving family.
He was born in Birmingham, Alabama, son of Eva (Hendricks) Dabney of Brockton and the late Johnney Dabney. Johnney was a US Army Veteran and worked as a furniture mover. He enjoyed fishing, camping, sports, music, comedy, cooking and grilling. He was a dedicated son, fiance, brother and uncle. Johnney was known for his on unwaverly love.He was willing to help anyone. His selflessness left the impact and all who knew him.
In addition to his mother he is survived by his fiancee Melanie Shanks of Brockton, 3 brothers, Melvin Moore of Brockton, Anthony Dabney and Kenny Dabney both of Boston, 2 sisters, Pamela Stokes of New Jersey and Myosa Dabney of Maryland, (brother of the late Cedric and Teresa Dabney), a aunt Linda Taylor, many nieces and nephew.
Visitation in the Home of Funerarias Multi Culturel, 238 Court Street Brockton Thursday October 17th from 4-7 pm.
Funeral Services in the Trinity Baptist Church, 1367 Main Street Brockton Friday October 18th 9:00 am. Services at 9:30 am to 12:00 noon. Burial to follow in Melrose Cemetery, 88 N Pearl Street Brockton. Repass to follow at the Enterprise Club 224 Clinton Street Brockton.
