Derry, NH---George S. Krzak, 81, of Derry, formerly of Londonderry, NH, Waterford, CT, and North Kingstown, RI, passed away on October 13, 2024 at Pleasant Valley Nursing Home after a long fight with Dementia. George was born in Providence, RI. He was raised in North Kingstown and was a graduate of North Kingstown High School. George played football in High School, loved archery, and was a talented hunter. He went on to graduate from U.R.I and the University of New Haven, CT with a Master’s Degree in Business Management in 1985.
He began his working career with NUSC (Navel Underwater Systems Center) in New London Connecticut as a civil service Electronics Engineer for the Navy, where he traveled the world to work on the periscope and sonar systems on submarines.
George enjoyed spending days boating on the New London Sound with his family. An avid skier, he enjoyed many winters in Vermont at Mount Snow and traveled all over the world with his wife Judy. George had a fun-loving personality with a passion for life, making people laugh, and was truly a friend to all he met. To know George was to love him. He was known to say, “I have your smile in my pocket” that would always turn a frown upside down.
He was predeceased by his brother, Joseph J. Krzak II, his father, Joseph J. Krzak, his mother, Pearl Ivy Krzak (Stock), his wife, Judy P. Krzak (Hurst) and is survived by his daughter Jennifer Jones (Daniel) and granddaughter Kaitlyn Schimp, his daughter Allison Krzak (Aaron) and grandchildren Abrielle and Aaron, Jr., his sister, Barbara Jamrog (Krzak), Joseph J. Krzak III, nephew, Diane Jamrog, niece and many other cousins, nieces, and nephews.
The family would like to extend thanks and gratitude to the many caregivers that had a special place in George’s life.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend visiting hours on October 18th from 9am – 10:30am in the Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd., Londonderry. A funeral service will follow at 10:30am in the funeral home. The burial will be in the Pillsbury Cemetery, Hovey Rd., Londonderry.
