Terri (Campbell) Finnegan, age 81, passed away on Wednesday, October 9th, at Lawrence General Hospital of Lawrence, MA. Born and raised in Laganamer, County Leitrim, Ireland, she was the daughter of the late Thomas and Mary (Murphy) Campbell. Terri grew up on a farm in Ireland, where she enjoyed caring for animals - especially a baby pig - and climbing trees.
Before coming to this country, Terri nursed her mother through her battle with breast cancer. She made friends wherever she went, and dutifully cared for her family. Some of her hobbies included gardening, reading, golfing and construction: She once built her children a clubhouse complete with stairs, door and a window. Upon retiring to SC, Terri enjoyed taking Zumba classes, caring for those in need and walking on the beach. She was kind, taught empathy, and loved to laugh and joke. Terri worked hard her entire life, and even in her later years always loved making the home festive for each holiday.
Terri was the beloved wife of the late Patrick M. Finnegan, and the devoted mother of Jennifer Stefanopoulos and her husband Peter, and Brian Finnegan and his partner, Nuria Borja. She was the beloved Nana to Thomas, Calogero and Alexa Stefanopoulos. Terri was the dear sister of Anne Rowland and her late husband Patrick, Rita Sheridan and her late husband Stephen, Patricia Reynolds and her late husband Kevin, Bridie Murphy and her husband Finton, and Veronica McKenna and her husband Gerard. She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, as well as dear friends and neighbors who cared for her through tough times: Paula and Lenko Pesa and many other dear friends, both here and abroad.
According to the wishes of Terriās family, services will be private.
