Margherita (Bernardi) DiMascio, age 92, of Brockton died unexpectedly on October 7 at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Domenico DiMascio. Born and raised in Campo Di Fano, Abruzzo, Italy, Margherita was the daughter of the late Pompillio and Luisa (Collemacine) Bernardi. She had been a resident of Brockton for the past 61 years.
Margherita was a loyal, respectful and strong willed woman with a loving, compassionate and generous nature. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, taking care of and helping others, as well as gardening, cooking, and baking.
Margherita was the mother of Marco DiMascio of Brockton and the late Domenic DiMascio, Jr. She was the grandmother of Maximilian DiMascio and Annabella DiMascio both of Brockton and Nicholas DiMascio of Halifax, the sister of Gemma Susi of Italy, Maria Bevilacqua of Niagara Falls, NY and Vincenzo Bernardi of Italy.
Visitation will be held in the Conley Funeral Home, 138 Belmont Street (Rte 123) Brockton on Tuesday, October 15 from 10-11am, followed by a Funeral Service at 11am. Burial will held in Melrose Cemetery.
