Obituary

James E. Everett, 84, of Oak Lawn, Illinois, died Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at his residence.

Funeral services were held at 1 PM, Friday at Chapel Hill Gardens South Funeral Home in Oak Lawn, Illinois. Interment followed in Chapel Hill Gardens South Cemetery.

Mr. Everett was born September 5, 1921, in Cheyenne, Wyoming, to the late Robert A. and Loretta Rooney Everett. He lived in Oak Lawn since 1947 and was a retired auto body mechanic. Mr. Everett served in the United States Navy during World War II. He was a member of the Air Mail Pioneers, the American Legion and the Teamster Union Local # 701. He was a member of the Catholic faith.

Mr. Everett is survived by his wife: Betty Burton Everett of Oak Lawn IL (Formerly of Fitzgerald); sons and daughters-in-law: James E. Everett, Jr., and Sandra of Key West, FL and Richard and Colleen Everett of Inez, TX; 7 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren; brother and sister-in-law: Charles Bruce and Nellie Everett of Oak Lawn, IL; sisters-in-law: Bobbie Griffin of Irwinville and Leonet Bostwick of Lakeland. He was preceded in death by a son, Robert Everett.
