Franklin T. LaPlante, age 66, of Chicopee passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on October 9, 2024 at Western MA Hospital after along illness. Frank was a welder and later a painter. He was a jack of all trades and could fix just about anything. Frank was an avid NASCAR and Patriots fan. He was born in Springfield, MA on May 11, 1958, son of the late Franklin F. LaPlante. He is survived by his mother, Beverly A. (Frost) LaPlante of Chicopee; one daughter, Tanya M. LaPlante of Agawam; three sisters, Sharen and Skip Martel of Chicopee, Sandra Piquette of Chicopee and Patti and John Standen of Bradenton, FL along with two grandchildren, Tyler and Shayanne Bachelder of Martha's Vineyard. The family would like to give a special thank you to Dr Miller and her staff at Western Ma Hospital for the special care they had given to Frank during his stay. A Graveside service will be held on Friday, October 18, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St Rose de Lima Cemetery, 49 Olsen St, Chicopee. The Grise Funeral home is entrusted with arrangements.
