John J. Nalewski, 68 of Waltham, MA passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 with his loved ones by his side. Born in Worcester, MA, he lived his early years in Auburn, MA, Woonsocket, RI and then settled in Waltham, MA. He was very active in the Waltham community, receiving the Community Hero Award in March 2016. John was also an ordained minister and performed numerous matrimonies all over the State.
He was predeceased by his parents, John W. Nalewski and Rosamond (DeRoche) Nalewski. He leaves his sister, Catherine Ward (John) of Woonsocket, RI, two nephews, six grandnieces and nephews and his dearest friend, Christopher Hakobyan who was by his side every step of the way as he fought his battle with cancer. To quote his words; “I have never felt as loved as I do now, if this is what it was supposed to feel like, then it was all worth it.”
