Audrey Doran, aged 85, passed away on October 11, 2024, in Quincy. surrounded by family. Born on December 6, 1938, in South Boston, where she grew up and became a lifelong resident of Quincy 61 years ago. Audrey lived a life marked by devotion to her family.
Audrey was a revered figure in the restaurant industry, notably serving as the President of the Union, where she advocated passionately for workers" rights and well-being.Beyond her professional endeavors, Audrey was deeply engaged in arts and crafts, including crocheting and baking, and she took great joy in hosting her family for holiday events.
Audrey is survived by her loving children, Faith Wagner and her husband Scott of Taunton, Susan Doran of Holbrook, Margaret Bollen of Whitman, William Doran of Quincy, and Steven Doran of Florida. She was a cherished grandmother to 13 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Audrey was predeceased by her beloved husband, William Doran.
Services to honor Audrey's life will be held on Tuesday, October 15, 2024, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. PeterLithuanian Church, 75 Flaherty Way, South Boston, MA 02127. Her funeral will be conducted on Wednesday, October 16, 2024, at 10 a.m. at St. Peter Lithuanian Church, 75 Flaherty Way, South Boston, MA 02127. Following the funeral, a procession will make its way through Castle Island to Cedar Grove Cemetery.
Relatives and friends are invited to a luncheon at Common Market in Quincy after the services.
