Edward M. “Teddy” Hallahan, 85

Edward M. “Teddy” Hallahan, age 85, of Norton, passed away on Wednesday October 9, 2024, at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro. He was the beloved husband of Susan P. (Peabody) Hallahan, to whom he was wed for forty-three years.
 
Born in Taunton, MA on July 23, 1939, he was a loving son of the late Edward M. Hallahan, Sr. and Dorothy J. (Hulsizer) Morse.
 
Teddy grew up in Norton and was a 1957 graduate of Norton High School. He proudly served his country as a member of the United States Navy and was stationed aboard the USS Intrepid before being honorably discharged on July 24, 1960.
 
Upon returning to Norton, Teddy began working in the jewelry business. In 1977, he switched careers and started his own Taylor Rental business, a company he owned and operated until 1982. Teddy, then went on to work for the M.S. Company in Attleboro for the next 30 years as jewelry costing estimator, a job he loved and was dedicated to prior to retiring in 2013.
 
Teddy’s favorite times were those spent with family and friends and he had a special place in his heart for his 2 cats “Jake” and “Yoda”.  A proud Eagle Scout and member of the Masonic Lodge Freemasons. Teddy had a passion for motorcycles and especially enjoyed the times he shared snowmobiling with his brother Billy. Some of his other hobbies included bicycling, candlepin bowling and playing tennis and racquetball.
 
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his devoted children: Jay Hallahan of Nashua, NH, Tommy Hallahan and his partner, Denise Maher of North Attleboro, Michael LaCroix and his wife, Kimberly of North Dighton, Linda Arsenault and her husband, Ken of Warwick, RI, and Stephanie Howe and her husband, Timothy of Oakham. He was the proud and cherished grandfather of Joshua, Matthew and Brett Hallahan, Kimberly Marshall and her husband Tyler, Bruce LaCroix and Cameron Howe and great-grandfather of Reese and Theo Marshall. He was the dear brother of Nancy Brogden of Newburyport and was predeceased by his brothers the late Richard Hallahan, Billy Gallant, who is survived by his wife, Margie of West Yarmouth, Robert Gallant, Stephen Morse and his late sister Barbara Allen.
 
Visiting hours are omitted and burial will be private.
