Obituary

Joseph “JoJo” A. Bitar, 38, of Worcester died Friday, October 4th due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident. He leaves behind his daughter, Natalie Hernandez of Southbridge; his parents, Joseph and Emma (Allaire) Bitar; his girlfriend of 19 years, Ashley Arsenault with whom he lived; two brothers, Peter Bitar of Jaffrey, NH and David Bitar of Worcester; cousins, aunts, uncles, extended family and friends.
Joseph achieved an associate’s degree in graphic design from Quinsigamond Community College. He was currently employed at Peterson Oil Company and had previously worked for several local businesses, including FedEx and Delgreco’s Masonry.
JoJo had such passion and talent creating art especially with Natalie and would end each evening watching movies, playing games with Ashley and reading his book. He was a fantastic photographer and made some hilarious movies with his daughter, friends, and recruited strangers with his positive words and energy. JoJo was extremely clever and could do a crossword puzzle without looking at the answers. He recently mastered homemade pizza. At home he has two cats that will greatly miss him. He appreciated a good joke and he also loved making them. He had a talent for memorizing the words to songs. He loved playing outdoors and working out with his cousin, Chris. Every weekend, he’d hike the Audubon trail and build his own forts. BMX biking was always one of his favorite hobbies. He performed well competing in the Major Taylor Challenge.
Family and friends meant everything to JoJo. He was loved by all that knew him and will be missed.
His visitation will be held on Sunday, October 13th from 1:00 PM until 2:45 PM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue followed by a funeral service at 2:45 PM. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
