Obituary

George P. Revet, 80, of Manchester, NH passed away Sunday, October 6, 2024, in Villa Crest Nursing Home, Manchester. He was born in 1944, in Los Angeles, CA, a son of the late Leonard and Ruth (Putney) Revet. A Manchester resident for 20 years, George formerly lived in Dartmouth, MA. George enjoyed his over 50-year career as a Machinest/Toolmaker, most recently employed as a Toolmaker for C & M Precision Tech prior to retiring in 2015.

Throughout his life George enjoyed various sports including golf, tennis, racquet ball, pool, and bowling. He met his wife at a bowling alley and his enthusiastic participation in pool twice won him and his team an all-expense trip to Las Vegas to compete in the national finals.

He is survived by his beloved wife of nearly 49 years, Valarie J. Revet of Manchester, NH, his son, Rick Revet of Morrisville, NC, his brother, Leonard Revet, and his wife Margie of Eek, Alaska, and his sister, Ellen (Revet) Austin of Milford, CT. George was predeceased by his brother Vernon Revet of Louisville, KY. He is also survived by his nephew, Tom Revet and his wife Ophamia of Lodi California, nieces, Bonnie (Austin) Preg and her husband Lance of West Haven, CT, Kimberly (Austin) Harmon and her husband Clarence, of Mt. Pleasant, SC, Nancy (Austin) Roberto and her husband Douglas, of Milford CT, nephew William Revet and his wife Vanessa Gina, of Portland, OR, niece Tahirih Revet of Wasilla, Alaska, Nelson Revet of Oregon and several great nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his close friend, Ron Jennings of Northfield, CT and his family along with his cherished pets, dogs Carly and Jet as well as Shelly, the cat.

Valarie would like to acknowledge the kind, compassionate and excellent care George received from the entire staff (both present and past) at Villa Crest Nursing Home. He could not have had a more wonderful group of people taking care of him and she is thankful for their support of her as well.

Following cremation, memorial calling hours will be held from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 20th at The Peabody Funeral Homes and Crematorium, 290 Mammoth Rd, Londonderry, NH.
