Constance C. “Connie” Bonin, 93, formerly of Woonsocket died peacefully Saturday evening October 5, 2024 at St. Antoine Residence.
Born in Woonsocket she was daughter of the late Alfred and Rose (Tardie) Bonin. She was a lifelong resident of the city and a graduate of St. Clare Girls High School with the class of 1950.
Connie was employed as an office worker for the L’Union de St. Jean Baptiste office in Woonsocket and also for several food distribution companies in Providence including the Felix Rocco Company and William J. Cannan Inc. before retiring.
Connie was a lifelong communicant of Precious Blood Parish. She volunteered countless hours in support of numerous ministries and activities at the parish including in the parish office, bingo, the Ladies Guild and Les Enfants de Marie.
Connie was an active member of the St. Agatha’s senior citizens club. Many club members will remember Connie as the “Sunshine Lady”. Connie genuinely enjoyed being with her fellow club members and having fun and memorable times together.
Never one to be idle Connie always kept herself busy. She liked doing puzzles, sewing and getting out and about traveling to many places.
Connie will be remembered as a loving and devoted aunt to her extended family and a faithful and dedicated member of her church.
Connie is survived by many nieces and nephews and their families.
She was the sister of the late Brother Constant Bonin and Brother Anthony Bonin, both Brothers of the Sacred Heart, Leo and Maurice Bonin, Cora Allard, Sr. Jeanne Bonin, Sr. Rita Bonin, both Sisters of St. Jeanne D’Arc, Sr. Beatrice Bonin, RJM and Annette Mulcahy-Venezia.
All are welcome to gather to honor, remember and pray for Connie at her Mass of Christian Burial Saturday October 12, 2024 at 10:00 am in Precious Blood Church, Carrington Ave. Woonsocket. Connie will be laid to rest with her parents in the family lot at Precious Blood Cemetery, Woonsocket.
