Obituary

Robert “Bob” Borges of Canton, formerly of Dedham, passed away on October 6, 2024. Beloved husband of Christa D. (Blum) Borges. Devoted father of Evelyn Adario and her husband Tony of Dedham, Peter Borges and his wife Laurie of Westwood, and Michelle Szczepanowski and her husband Andy of North Attleboro. Dear brother of Theresa Silva of Arlington, and the late Joseph Borges and Mary Ann Costa. Loving grandfather of Anthony, and Marina Adario, Samantha and Benjamin Borges, Anya and Lara Szczepanowski.

Bob was born and raised in Cambridge, and after his graduation from Cambridge Rindge Technical High School, he joined the Army, where he was stationed in Germany. It was there that he met Christel, the love of his life. She returned to the United States with him, and they made their home in Roslindale, where they married and welcomed three children into the world.

Bob's professional journey began at Whitman and Howard, followed by a fulfilling career with the City of Boston. He was known for his dedication and hard work.

In his free time, Bob pursued his passions for photography and woodworking. He was a talented craftsman who enjoyed tackling home improvement projects, often lending his skills to friends and family alike. His generosity and willingness to help others left a lasting impact on those around him.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, October 11th in St. Theresa of Avila Church, 2078 Centre St., West Roxbury at 10:00am. Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend. Interment Knollwood Memorial Park, Canton.
