Ocala, FL – Leon J.P. “Patrick” Saucier, 86, of Ocala, FL and formerly of Worcester, passed away on Tuesday, October 1, 2024 in the Ted and Diane Brandley Hospice House in Ocala, FL after a long illness.
He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna B. (Brewster) Saucier; three sons, Leon J.P. Saucier Jr. of Worcester, James E. Saucier of Webster and Paul A. Saucier of Charleston, NH; two daughters, Cheryl A. Delage of Worcester and Sharon L. Vigeant of Worcester; a step son, Michael A. Brewster of Spencer; a sister, Elmira Saucier of Worcester; 8 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
He was born in Worcester, son of the late Leo and Melina (Larochelle) Saucier and graduated from the former Worcester Boy’s Trade High School where he focused in automotive repair.
After graduating from Worcester Boy’s Trade Patrick started his first job at Herb and Jerry’s Service Station. He then went to work for Wyman Gordon and also Parker Manufacturing, but he spent the majority of his work life working for the City of Worcester with the Worcester Police Department retiring as fleet foreman.
He was a member of the Auburn/Webster Elks Lodge #2118 and true to his love for cars he was a passionate fan of both stock car racing and NASCAR.
Memorial calling hours will be held on Tuesday, October 15 from 5 to 7 PM in the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home 12 Hammond St. Worcester.
