Mary L. Sweeney, of Stoughton, died Sunday, July 30 at the Caritas St. Elizabeth’s Medical Center in Brighton after a period of failing health. She was the wife of the late Edwin R. Sweeney, Sr. Born in Boston, she was a graduate of Boston Schools. Mrs. Sweeney was an avid Red Sox Fan. She was a homemaker.
She is survived by her children, Edwin R. Sweeney, Jr., of St. Charles, MO, Judith A. Bulman of Stoughton, Donna A. Sweeney of Exeter, NH and Kevin P. Sweeney of Taunton. Mrs. Sweeney was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Courtney Sweeney. She is survived by 5 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Funeral services will be held at the Farley Funeral Home, 358 Park St. (Rt. 27) Stoughton on Tuesday, August 1 at 11 AM. Visiting Hours prior from 10-11 AM. Interment will be private. Donations in Mary’s name may be made to the American Heart Assoc., 30 Speen St., Framingham, MA 01701.
